Description

Face The Horrors of Adolescence Fall In Love With Your FriendsEmbrace Your Monstrosity About Monster Squad Goals Monster Squad Goals is a low-prep, GM-less, slice-of-life storytelling game for 3-5 players. It is a game about falling in love with your friends and, along the way, falling in love with your own monstrosity--or rather the things about you that the world considers monstrous. It's a game about helping your squad live your best teenage monster lives. In Monster Squad Goals, you play as a group of teenage monster BFFs trying your best to support each other through crises that all teens can relate to (e.g., sneaking your grounded bestie out so they can go to the school dance, trying not to let your first date find out you're a gorgon, or passing your big Human Studies exam so you don't have to take summer school!) Gameplay rotates through three phases that are reminiscent of the heist genre. During the Briefing phase, you establish your goals and make a plan. During the Mission phase, you attempt to accomplish your goals. And during the Debriefing phase, you reflect on what went well and what new crises have emerged. Loaded By A Goblin This game was loaded by a goblin for Viditya's Birthday Goblin Jam. It is a fully playable quick-start. If there's sufficient interest in the game, I will continue developing and polishing it. This work includes material derived from “The Goblin Pulls Out A Gun,” a Viditya Voleti Tech Pack, available by CC BY 4.0 license at vidityavoleti. itch.io. Monster Squad Goals is not affiliated with Viditya Voleti. Community Copies As with all my games, I have provided free community copies. I've been broke before. I know what it's like to not have enough money to fully participate in the hobbies, passions, and communities I care about. Capitalism is a hellscape, and I want to ensure that the cost isn't a barrier for anyone who is interested in this game. So please use the link below to grab a community copy if you are interested.
