"A power fantasy for the person I used to be." You’re here because the universe has wronged you. You’ve felt helpless against its laws, and are here for revenge. Understandable. Commendable, even. But be warned: truth does not simply submit when faced with opposition. It rears its head with fury. But you want magic, don’t you? To you, it’s worth any cost. You’d be willing to lose anything. Everything. Prepare to lose it. Wizardman: Queer and Chaos RPG is a game of trauma and revenge. It is escapism; you are afforded an opportunity to turn the tide against your fears, and claim the world as yours. But you can only run for so long before the universe, in all its infinite expansion, catches up. Magic is real, most certainly; practitioners known as Wizards are masters of the substance, having studied their craft and worked to define their approach and connection to these otherworldly forces. In many ways, magic is more akin to an art than a science; one defines their own style, forming a unique attachment to their tools. It is a practice defined by feeling and idea, rather than formula. But while Wizards have famously lived in isolation, more and more often they are finding a need to band together. A threat is slowly growing, peeking its head across the great blanket of the Sanded Tides. The Gods are angry. The world has decided it has let its denizens play with Prometheus’s fire for far too long, and is intent on snuffing it out. Magic is beginning to come with a cost; with every cast of a spell, a Wizard runs the risk of losing it all, denying themselves the powers they were given to defend themselves from tragedy. Great armies are rising, formed by reality to destroy magic and all the chaos it has brought to the world. Wizardman: Queer and Chaos RPG is the struggle of tragedy made physical; it is the greatest strengths of humanity’s irrationality and emotion coming head-to-head with the bucking horns of truth, and about the struggle of people to define themselves as stronger than the forces which rule them. It is a game about killing the Gods which seek to contain us, and breaking our chains off in rage. But it is also a game about consequences, and about the understanding that you cannot win forever. Reality will claim all, eventually: but we’re gonna give it a hell of a fight. You’ve denied fate before- who’s to say you can’t do it again?
