🤝 Inclusive design Inclusive design is separate from a game’s queer labels. It marks games whose design is deliberately inclusive even when not queer-themed: romance or marriage mechanics with no gender constraint, character creation without a forced gender binary, gender-neutral rules language, or table safety tools. Each marker shows where we found it.

  • Safety tools (X-card, lines & veils, session zero)
According to the game’s own description
“As this game deals with far more mature themes, it is advised for you to utilize safety tools and always put the comfort of the table first and foremost. A trove of safety tools can be found here.”

Description

What happens when a cloud falls over these cards you hold so dear? A cloud of your doubts, anxieties and worries? A cloud of shadows that falls upon your heart, twisting the frame of what was simply a friendly sport to something more dire? Get Your Game On: Shadowed Hearts is an expansion to Get Your Game On. And so requires the base game to play. Inspired by the world threatening figures in Yugioh: Duel Monsters and the themes of corruption and falling from grace in Yugioh: GX, Shadowed Hearts is based around facing down forces that present a threat to you beyond simple dueling. Alongside this is minigames based around being tempted by evil forces and the eventual redemption that may come with it. You will also find alternative and more in-depth character creation rules within the book. As this game deals with far more mature themes, it is advised for you to utilize safety tools and always put the comfort of the table first and foremost. A trove of safety tools can be found here.
