Description
Your kingdom's people have perfected the Ritual of Affirmation, a sacred spell that burns away the body and name with which a person was born, revealing their true shape and unlocking their innate magical potential. Anybody can perform the ritual, but there are always those who are jealous and bigoted, willing to do harm in hopes of stealing the Affirmation's secrets and destroying or squandering it. You are a paladin: someone dedicated to preserving the Ritual of Affirmation and the happiness of their kingdom. You have sworn your oath in a time of great need. On the horizon of the kingdom now rises a new threat: the Necromancer. His identity is a mystery, but his power is undeniable. His dread hand reaches into the Graveyard, scrounging in that dismal realm for the names, shells, and toxic ideas that the people have cast aside. He carves and spins these scraps into his armies of soldiers and spies, and hopes to subvert the kingdom. Not since the Paladins’ founding has the kingdom faced such a dire threat. This is The Necromancer, a game built in Caltrop Core about using hope and wraith to battle against a magical bigot.
